Today I walked four miles with Gracie. I believe I actually wore her little puppy butt out. The leash was slack the final mile of our jaunt.
In the process of walking I realized how lovely most of my little German neighborhood actually is with its circa 1920’s construction. There are a few sad rotten parts, mostly rentals, but nothing ghetto dangerous. My neighborhood constitutes the first subdivision in the county in which I live, an outgrowth of my state’s third largest city. For those who poo-poo the region for its un-suburbanness I say give it 75 years and see if your shiftily constructed homes fair so well.
I also listened to Rattle and Hum. I forgot just how good the lyrics to the songs on that album were. And yes, though someone snickered at me when I used the term “album” the other day that is what it is, a series of songs constructed and crafted for an over-arching affect.
So, meh.
